Nerd Tidbit of the Day: What’s Up

He-Man’s pretty good at singing! In other news, the 8th grade year is finally over. That’s bad and good. For one, we’re all releived of a few, um, sucky teachers. But it was also a pretty awesome year, MUCH, much better than 6th grade and even a bit better than 7th in my opinion. Oh well, I look forward to High School. See you all there tomorrow, and goodnight readers!

Nerd Tidbit of the Day:Trololo

Due to our excessive use of references to this in science class, I feel it necessary to recognize this song. Call it what you may – the troll anthem, trololo song, troll song, et cetera. It’s proper translated English name is “I’m so happy to be home”. Just enjoy Eduard Khil’s golden voice!

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: Gamestop

Apparently Gamestop employees are clueless everywhere! I asked the cashiers in Lincoln’s Westview Mall what the Wii’s “sensor bar” does.

Their reply? “It senses stuff.”

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: ??

I finally found this video! I saw it a while ago, but I couldn’t remember what it was called.

I never knew King Leonidas was so good at dancing…..

They’re taking the hobbits to isengard!

Learn it by heart, fellas. (thanks to Erwin Beekveld for making this masterpiece)

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: Sorry Guys!

I’ve been neglecting my blog for about a week now, but my new year’s resolution is finally over. Sadly, in the end I came up 5 games short :’(. On the bright side, I still beat 55 games in 4 months! Anyway, I’ll also have some more time to spend with my friends. Now enjoy this assortment of interesting and funny tidbits!

I know someone like this…..

Dear Blank Please Blank knows what’s up

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: Napoleon

Napoleon Bonaparte offered to have his men shoot him after escaping exile, and none did! Napoleon is one of the most famous tacticians and politicians of all time, and he inspired great loyalty in his troops. After he escaped his exile on the island of Elba, he said to the people who came to arrest him, “Soldiers of the 5th. You can shoot your emperor if you dare!”. None of them did! He ended up going back to France and rallying nearly 300,000 men in less than a month . Crazy stuff!

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: Can you figure out the pattern?

I honestly did figure it out in the blink of an eye, but it takes a certain type of nerd to be able to. Don’t feel bad if you can’t, and tell me in the comments if you think you’ve got it!

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: parsecs

In Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope, Han Solo says the Millenium Falcon made the kessel run in 12 parsecs. Turns out parsecs are a unit of distance, so that’s like saying I traveled 100 miles in 100 miles. Nice.

Nerd Tidbit of the Day: Yay!

Several things to celebrate today:

Reading testing is over! At least for a little while things will be back to normal schedule-wise.

Secondly, I found this AWESOME orchestration of the Chrono Trigger theme from Chrono trigger. Check it out!

And last, but not least, I asked out a girl named Maggie recently and she said yes. Thanks for giving me a chance, Maggie!
